The safety belt allows a softer landing saving your barbell in an event of a missed rep. The length of the belt makes it possible to place the belt in an angle too so you can let the barbell roll away from yourself in case of failure.

Amazing bit of kit

I used to have the webbed safety catchers for a thor power cage and knew when I upgraded that I was going to get them again for the riot, truly the best safeties I've ever used, can't recommend enough.

Much better than normal metal safety catchers

Much prefer these to normal metal safety catchers, you can set these just at the height you need and if the bar touches them when you bring it down it will not mess up your lift like a metal safety catcher would. These will also protect you barbells more and look a lot better too. I highly recommend upgrading to these if you have the money to do so.
